Mafalda Goretti

Mafalda Goretti, 84, of Bethlehem Township, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017. She was born March 6, 1933 in Senigallia, Italy; daughter of the late Giulio and Teresa (Palinelli) Emili.

Mafalda loved working for over 36 years as a sample maker for A & H Sportswear, Stockertown. She was also a member of the I.L.G.W.U. Mafalda was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Her most treasured times were spent with her family. She particularly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a fabulous cook who loved creating elaborate Italian meals with fresh Italian herbs from her garden.

Family was everything to Mafalda and she will be dearly missed by her daughters, Diana P. Morganelli and her husband, John of Bethlehem; and Lori Ann DiRenzo and her husband, Thomas of Bethlehem Township; her brother, Leo Emili; as well as her five grandchildren, John Michael, Christopher, Laura, Sean and Morgan and her son-in-law, Paul Tuttle. Mafalda was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Tuttle; her sister, Cardina Giulini and brother, Lindo Emili.

Services have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home and will be private at the convenience of the family.
