Manuel Martinez

Manuel J. Martinez, 85, of Bethlehem Township died peacefully at home on Friday, October 11, 2024. He was born February 11, 1939, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, son of the late Fruto and Carmen (Vasquez) Martinez. Manuel was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 59 years, Dorothy Mae Martinez.

Manuel worked as an order picker for a few manufacturing firms in the Lehigh Valley and later retired from B and M Provision Co. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was a proud Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.

Manuel will be dearly missed by his daughters, Carolyn M. Poplawski and husband, Joseph, and Nadine Martinez; grandson, Lucas Poplawski; and brothers, Gilbert Martinez and wife, Lynn, Peter Martinez and wife, Martha, and Joseph Martinez, as well as his nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Burial will be private.
