María Vazquez

Mara (Fuentes) Vazquez, 91, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Arden Courts in Allentown. She was born in Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Bartolo and Consuelo (Ocacio) Fuentes. She was the loving wife of the late Manuel Vazquez. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary before his death in 2009.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana Erney and husband, Dana of Ocean View, DE; and Norma Overholt and husband, Jim of Allentown; six grandchildren; Sean R. Erney, Heather Ann Nuneviller, Shannon M. Hughes, Carlos Ortiz, Dawn D. Vazquez and Darren Vazquez; six great grandchildren, Jake R. Erney, Grace M. Erney, Brooklyn Rose Erney, Samantha N. Nuneviller, Aidan C. Nuneviller and Mason T. Vazquez; sister, Margaret (Fuentes) Santiago Fuentes of Bethlehem, three sisters and two brothers in Puerto Rico, brother in Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Manuel Vazquez, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
