Marcella A. Bitler

Marcella A. Bitler, 80, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Born in Bethlehem on February 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marcella (Carr) Hart. She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. Bitler who died in 2015. They were married 59 years. She was employed by B. Braun where she worked as an assembler for over 30 years. She was a member of the Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Marcella Sohara of Bethlehem, Kenneth Bitler and wife Joan of Bethlehem, Catherine Lee of Haines City, FL and Donna Gallagher and husband Timothy of Westford, MA; grandchildren: Tiffany and Danielle Bitler, Heather and Joseph Sohara, Jesse Lee, Landrie Lee Portz, Morganne and Madison Gallagher; great grandchildren, Bridget McFadden and Jameson Lee; brother, Robert Hart; and special friend & brother-in-law, Ricky Cabrera. She was predeceased by her twin brother, John Hart; sister, Mary Cabrera; and brother, Bernard Hart.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 1, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Lukes Hospice.
