Margaret A. Dougherty

Margaret (Peg) Dougherty, 86, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, March 7, 2015. She was born in Philadelphia on January 22, 1929; daughter of the late Catherine (Gross) and Vincent McDonough. She was the wife of the late William M. Dougherty; they were married 42 years. Margaret retired from Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Fountain Hill where she worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Brian Dougherty and his companion, Kelly DiGiacinto; daughters, Marie, wife of Gene Silverman, Cathy, wife of Les Baer, Peggy, wife of Chuck Liebold, Terry, wife of Patrick Lawler, Eileen, wife of Paul Turgeon, Anne, wife of Jason Sandova, and Regina, wife of Jack ODonnell; daughter-in-law, Alaine Dougherty; sister, Kathleen Herrmann; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Dougherty; brothers, Vinnie and John McDonough; and twin sister, Jane Ross.

Viewing hours will be held in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14. An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
