Margaret A. Schmidt

Margaret A. Schmidt, 91, formerly of Hawthorne Rd., Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at St. Martha's Manor in Downingtown, PA. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret (Rusics) Domyan. Her husband, the late John S. Schmidt died in 2001.

Margaret was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She lived almost all of her life in Bethlehem, attended Bethlehem schools and was well known for her athletic talent. She played basketball and softball for the Armorette's in Bethlehem and was an avid bowler, attaining membership in the City of Bethlehem Bowling Hall of Fame.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her son Christopher and his wife Barbara of Downingtown, grandson Stephen Schmidt, his wife Leah and their son Jonathan and granddaughter Lisa, her husband Miguel Abele and their daughter Lillian. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Domyan and a sister Anna Mahoney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at 11:30AM in St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem, viewing from 11:00AM in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
