Margaret A. Stangl

Margaret A. Stangl, 92, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born on February 25, 1930, the daughter of the late Andrew and Veronica (Doddy) Spevak. She was the loving wife of the late John F. Stangl.

Margaret was an insurance agent at the Bartos Agency in Bethlehem for many years. She was an active member and longtime treasurer of SOKOL USA Wreath 66 as well as the 55 Plus club at St. Anne's Church. She was also a former member of the Hillers. Margaret cherished her family and she will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: John F. Stangl, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie; Judith Stangl and her husband, Gary Riehle; and Joan Stangl; as well as daughter-in-law, Andrea Kennedy; grandchildren, Kimberly, Gabriel, Mathias, Douglas and Zachary; sister, Catherine Gerencser; and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, James Stangl; granddaughter, Emily; and nine brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 450 E. Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne's Catholic Church or LifeQuest Nursing Center.
