Margaret Antonis

Margaret Antonis, 82, of Bethlehem passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. She was born on January 2, 1930 in Dunmore, PA; daughter of the late Victor and MaryAnn (Sopko) Jason. She was the wife of the late Dr. Manassi Antonis who died in 1985.

Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker and a true friend to many many others. She was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lehigh Valley Dental Society during the 1950s and 1960s. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Margaret was a loving woman who always gave generously from her heart expecting nothing in return. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Dr. Manassi T. Antonis, and his wife, Melodie, of Breinigsville; Dr. Mark Antonis, and his wife, Darla, of Nazareth; James Antonis, and his wife, Terri, of Bath; and Christopher J. Antonis, and his wife, Tara, of Bethlehem; her daughters, Diane Rhodes, and her husband, Timothy, of Bethlehem; and Maria Antonis, and her husband, Julian Master, of Alexandria, VA; brothers, John Jason, and Vincent Jason both of Dunmore, PA; sister, Catherine Neureuter of Endwell, NY; and grandchildren, Steven, Philip, Frank, Stephen, Michael, Arin, Lauren, Alexander, Tyler, Braden, and Madison.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Patrillo and Mary Yaswinski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020. A viewing will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday evening at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA and 10-11 a.m. Friday morning in the church. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
