Margaret B. Sanchack

Margaret B. Sanchack, 95, of Philadelphia; died on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. She was born December 4, 1921 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Frank A. and Margaret B. (Novotny) Bednarik.

Margaret was a simple, hard-working woman. She took great pride in raising her family and working as a sales associate at Strawbridge and Clothier until she was in her 70s. Margaret was a parishioner of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Philadelphia, PA.

Family was important to Margaret and she will be dearly missed by her children, James Sanchack and his wife, Marcia of Naples, FL; Francis Sanchack and his wife, Linda of Pennsylvania; Margie Ogden and her husband, Fred of Pennsauken, NJ; and Joseph Sanchack and his wife, Roswitha of Mundelein, IL; She will also be lovingly remembered by her eleven grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Helen R. Szczepanski, Elizabeth Mikitka, Mary Vresk and Francis Bednarik.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
