Margaret Barber

Margaret “Peggy” Barber, 89, of Bethlehem; passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014. She was born December 24, 1924 in Hazelton, PA; daughter of the late Clarence and Naomi Ruth (Grossman) Wenner. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd B. Barber.

Peggy dedicated her life to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joanne and her husband, Sam of Horsham, PA; Jackie and her husband Jose of Allentown, PA and Judith of Bethlehem. She was also survived by her sister, Dottie of Whitehall; grandchildren, Megan, Josh and Jeremy and three great grandchildren. Peggy was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and David and step son Lloyd Jr.

Peggy was a former member of Salem Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Pagosa Springs, CO.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lukes Hospice House c/o Development 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
