Margaret Deak

October 14, 1948 — November 7, 2020

Margaret “Meg” Deak, MCAT, LPC, 72, of Allentown died unexpectedly, Saturday, November 7, 2020 in her home. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Reagan) and Alexander Deak.

Meg was the owner, operator, and counselor of Life Rhythms. Prior to starting her own counseling business she worked as a counselor for Valley Youth House in Easton, she also taught Music therapy at Moravian College and Hahnemann University, and at one point worked as an X-Ray technician at Sacred Heart Hospital. Meg was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic, received her BA from Moravian College and a masters degree from Hahnemann Unversity in Creative Arts Therapy. At one point she was the director of ACCO which was a chorus celebrating women.

Margaret is survived by her forever friend and longtime companion, Jonathan Siller, close cousins Mary Jane Napravnik Kemmerer, Peggy Napravnik Derhammer, Marcella Reagan Metzgar, Kathleen Gaffney Stolldorf, and many other cousins, friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her cousins, Charles “Brother” Napravnik and Chuck Micio.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11 AM at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
