Margaret E Stapher, 92 of Grace Mansion Assisted Living in Bethlehem, PA
and formerly of East Fifth Street in Bethlehem where she was raised and spent most of her life died on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, PA
She was the wife of the late Vernon E. Tex Stapher who died in 1973
Born in Bethlehem, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Vogrin Lopert
Margaret worked in the Food Service Division of Bethlehem Steel Co. for 30 years retiring in the mid 1970?s.
Mrs. Stapher was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bethlehem
where she belonged to the Women's Guild and served as a Candle Bearer.
Margaret was a world traveler including trips to Africa and several trips to Europe.
She was loved and appreciated by her nieces: Sandra Kuhar, Kathy Gray, and Sharon Rounsaville, her nephews David Muhr, and Ronald Choke and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters; Anne Marie Muhr, and Theresa Choke and her nephew Robert F. Muhr, Jr.
SERVICES
Visitation will be Monday, December 11th 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home
Service will be begin on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
