Margaret G. Bolcar

Margaret G. Bolcar, 88, of Bethlehem passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem surrounded by her family. Born August 26, 1926 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Susanna (Yenchick) and Martin A. Mish. She was married to Vincent P. Bolcar for 47 years until his death on October 25, 2009.

Margaret worked for Bethlehem Steel as a Secretary and for the local U.S. Naval Defense office during World War II. She also worked for the Social Security Administration office in Allentown. Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township and its Ladies Group where she was active in the Prayer Chain. She was also a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Margaret enjoyed going to the Atlantic City casinos with her husband, but most of all she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who cherished family time and holiday gatherings.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Deborah, wife of Wayne Muller of Pen Argyl, Jane, wife of Jeremy How of Center Valley, Kathy Laird of Bethlehem; son, David Bolcar and his wife, Kathy of Yorktown, VA, brother, Edward Mish and wife Ann of Hellertown and eight grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Matthew, Joshua, Alexander, Zachary, Stephen and Rachel.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Martin, Michael, William, Andrew, Stephen and Joseph Mish and sisters, Frances DelRe, Helen and Anna Mish.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9:00 to 10:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11 AM. Entombment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery Mausoleum, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margarets name to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
