Margaret M. Timko

Margaret M. Chapo Timko, 89, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Reading, PA. Born May 13, 1922 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Catherine Mondovich and Stephen Chapo. She was married to the late Nicholas Timko, with whom she celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Margaret worked for the former Chickadee Dress Company in Bethlehem. She was a member of the former St. John Capistrano Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Margaret was also a member of the Catholic Sokols, the Hungarian Catholic Club and the Lehigh Southside Boosters.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rosemarie wife of James Wolfel, son, Robert Timko and wife Lynn. She will also be missed by her four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Mika, Rose Stefanik, Sister Anastasia, Grace Jancosko, Helen Gallis and Irene Baksa and a brother, Joseph Chapo.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 8:30-9:30 AM at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
