Margaret M. Werpehowski

Margaret Werpehowski, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away on June 27, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Emma (Hugitz) and Stephen Margetich.

Margaret graduated from Liberty High School and Moravian College with her B.A. in Sociology. She married William John Werpehowski in 1951. As a musician and lover of music, she trained in classical voice and was a supporter of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. Margaret was especially proud of her Croatian heritage.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, William Joseph Werpehowski and his wife, Anne McGuire; grandsons, Stephen J. and James W. Werpehowski and a sister, Emma Bednarik. Margaret was preceded in death by her brother William Margetich.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Burial to be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
