Margaret "Marge" (Dobay) Raykos of Country Meadows of Bethlehem, PA died Friday Sept. 7, 2012 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.
Born in Coral, PA May 16, 1921 she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Sopko) Dobay
Marge attended schools in Coral, worked in Homer City Defense Plant assembling hand grenades during WW II, and moved to Bethlehem, PA after the war and worked at different sewing factories.
She retired from Durkees Famous Food after 14 years.
Marge and her family were members of the former SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Bethlehem.
Marge married Stephen Raykos in 1948, her husband of 53 years. Stephen died in 2001.
Surviving are her son: Stephen and his wife Barbara (Paukovits) of Northampton, her sister: Dorothy and her husband Robert Danchik of Berlin, MD., and her brother Albert and his wife Mary Dobay of Graceton, PA and more than 30 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Gary, sisters: Helen Yencho and MaryAnn Nordby.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 12th at 11:00 a.m. in Incarnation of our Lord Catholic Church 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad Street Bethlehem, PA
