Margaret Rose Nyul

Margaret Rose Nyul, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 12, 2021. She was born in Coplay, PA; daughter of the late Edward A. and Margaret J. (Weissner) Hobel. Margaret and her husband, Charles, celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on October 19, 2020.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered for her graciousness, strength, humility, kindness, and sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and relaxing on her back porch. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the Christmas season, gardening, and baking. Margaret was extremely friendly and was known to always have treats in her purse for anyone she met.

Margaret was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. She is well remembered for her years of service in the coffee shop at ABE Airport.

Faith was important to Margaret. She was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

Margaret will be dearly missed by her husband, Charles, her daughters, Charlene J. Ludwick (Harry) and Margaret A. Bonge (Greg), her grandchildren, Elizabeth Bender (Thomas), Sarah Ludwick Beck (Chantz), Kathryn Ludwick, Charles John Bonge, and Cathleen Bonge, her great-grandchildren, Madison and Jayden Bender, and Cooper Beck, her sisters, Helene Ott, Jeanette Dryburgh, and Barbara Smith, and her many friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Hobel.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, from 9-10 a.m. at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, PA 18018, with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow in the church. Interment services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society care of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church.
