Margaret S. Lorrah

Margaret S. Lorrah, 88, of Bethlehem, formerly of Freemansburg, died Monday January 1, 2018. Born June 1, 1929 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Veronica (Kramer) and Michael Arendas.

Margaret worked for both Giant and Shoprite Grocery stores in the Bakery. She was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Freemansburg Fire Company #1, where she was a past president. Margaret was also a tax collector in Freemansburg. She was a spitfire, who loved being around her family and friends, especially her great grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed playing bingo and was a diehard Philadelphia Eagle fan.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dean Lorrah, daughter, Vicki widow of Bobby Martin, grandchildren, Ashley Martin and Tina wife of Ryan Getz, and great grandchildren, Alexus, Faith, Paige, Ryan Jr., and Shane. She will also be missed by her niece, Steph Turek and several other nieces and nephews and her closest friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Talaber and Rose Turek.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, January, 7, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM and again Monday morning from 10-11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem. At the request of Margarets family you are welcome to wear your favorite football teams attire.
