Margaret Veronica Petrilla

Margaret Veronica Chabak Petrilla, 97, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Moravian Village of Bethlehem. She was born April 15, 1918, daughter of the late John J. Chabak and Anna M. Piskanin Chabak both from Czechoslovakia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph Thomas Petrilla; and her siblings, Anna, Mary, Michael, John, Helen, Joseph, Andrew, Irene, and George. Margaret was a devout parishioner of St. Annes Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

Margaret dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed by her daughter Marjorie Barnett and her husband, G. Gerard of Manasquan, NJ; her granddaughters, Jorie Johnson and her husband, Daniel; Tam Lynne Kelley and Katie Stratton and her husband, Dermot; as well as three great grandchildren, Gerard and Ellie Johnson and Toyja Kelley.

The Connell Funeral Home is honored to assist in arrangements. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6th at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 E. Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margarets name may be made to St. Lukes Hospice, Attention: Lynn Nunamaker, 240 Union Station Plaza Bethlehem, PA 18015.
