Margaret Youngkin

November 15, 1918 — April 25, 2009

Margaret Zver Youngkin, 90, formerly of Bethlehem, PA died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Chester County Hospice Inpatient Unit in West Chester, PA.

Born November 15, 1918 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Anna Zsisek and Anton Zver. She was married to Raymond Youngkin for 58 years until he passed in June of 2002.

Margaret worked for the Minsi Trail Boy Scouts of America in the finance department for 25 years, retiring in 1983. Margaret and her late husband especially enjoyed dancing to live bands. She was an accomplished Duplicate Bridge Player and earned close to 90 Master Points. Margaret was a proud Democrat. She was an avid reader and also loved to follow the Philadelphia Phillies. She also enjoyed following the PGA Tour especially Tiger Woods and Freddy Couples. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the First Windish Fraternal Society.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jeanne Youngkin Wagener, with whom she lived with in Chester County the last seven years, son, Bruce Youngkin and wife Brenda of Harrisburg, brother, Ernest Zver and wife Carole of Bethlehem, granddaughters, Ariana of Washington D.C. and Lisa of Chambersburg, P.A. Margaret is also survived by her beloved Cat, Sushi.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Zver.

SERVICES

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem at 11:30 AM. Arrangements under the care of Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's name to the Minsi Trail Boy Scouts of America P.O. Box 20624 Lehigh Valley, PA 18002.
