Maria A. Heydt

Maria A. Heydt, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of June (Russell) Strobel and the late Raymond Strobel. She was the loving wife of Paul E. Heydt, Jr., they were married 47 years.

Maria was a 1963 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was employed by the Lehigh Valley Health Network Muhlenberg Campus as the Registrar of the ASU Unit. She was a member of the Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church and above all, a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Paul Jr. of Bethlehem; mother, June of Coplay; sons, Paul III of Bethlehem, Bradley, wife Tanya, and their children, Andrew and Celia all of Kennesaw, GA, and Matthew of Bethlehem; and sister, Jackie Wilson of Coplay.

Visitation will be held in the Notre Dame Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, on Monday Jan. 13 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley and sent in care of the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
