Maria Dealmeida

Maria DeAlmeida, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at St. Lukes Hospice House, surrounded by family.

Born March 20, 1946, in Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Susana (Soares) DaCosta.

Throughout her life Maria worked as a seamstress and held employment with Panzell and Tyson Apparel.

Outside of work, Maria loved spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, the late Francisco DeAlmeida, who died December 6, 2010; and two brothers: Mario and Rui DaCosta.

Maria will be lovingly remembered by one son: Joao DeAlmeida, of Bethlehem; one daughter: Emilia DaCosta (Celestino), of Bethlehem; one granddaughter: Jennifer DaCosta (Luis); two great-grandsons: Josiah and Ethan Acevedo, all of Bethlehem; one sister: Ameilia Sousa (Antonio), of Florida; one God-mother: Maria DaCosta; nieces and nephews, as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 8:00am until 10:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30am in Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 East Fourth Street, Bethlehem.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem.
