Maria F. Lopes

Maria F. Lopes, 80, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, July 8, 2016. She was born in Portugal on March 14, 1936; daughter of the late Abel and Maria (Guerra) Andrade. Maria is survived by her husband of over 56 years, Manuel D. Lopes.

Maria retired in 1995, after working 20 years as a sewing machine operator. She was a devoted parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church.

Maria will be dearly missed by her husband, Manuel; her sons, Paul J. Lopes and Sergio A. Lopes both of Bethlehem; her sisters, Adlena Simones, and Anna Simones; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorinda Vicoso and Maria Montario; and brother, Jose Augusto Andrade.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or St. Lukes Hospice House, 2455 Black River Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
