Marie A. Eckman

Marie Eckman, 67, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. Born in Hazelton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Stella (Stefanowicz) Skiba.

Marie was known to everyone as bubbly, upbeat, and cheerful. She made friends wherever she went and lit up every room she entered. She was very artistic and baked and decorated beautiful cakes. During her life, Marie worked as a personal banker, most recently for M&T. She loved spending time with her family and she adored her grandchildren: Jeffrey and Trevor Montalvo; and Aidan and Annie Baez. Her family will miss her creativity, her laughter, her smile, and most of all, her love.

In addition to her grandchildren, Marie is also survived by her loving daughter and caretaker, Sara Eckman of Bethlehem; and Richard Skeeba and his wife, Betty of Northampton.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
