Marie Camarda

Marie A. Camarda, of Bethlehem died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the age of 101. She was born in Hoboken, NJ, the daughter of the late Vincent and Theresa Vitale Rendenna. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph on March 1, 1978. She was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Marie was the last survivor of a large and loving Italian family.

She was co-founder of Josette Mfg. Co. and helped to operate the company from 1939 to 1962 when she and her husband moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL until his death in 1978. They traveled extensively throughout the United States with the American Business Club.

Marie loved to embroider tablecloths and her family and friends were the recipients of these items. She was an avid reader and loved to play card games with her friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Antoinette Camarda; her son, Casper Camarda and his wife Mary all of Bethlehem. Also her dearly beloved six grandchildren, Carole Husser, Stephen Infurna, Mary Beth Young, Joseph Camarda, Anne Stewart and Clare Ebner. She also had 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Viewings will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 and Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18017.

A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the church.

Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem following Mass.
