Marie E. Check

Marie E. Check, 88, of Bethlehem passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Born on June 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Fox) and Howard Stauffer. She was the loving wife of the late George M. Check.

Marie worked for many years as a nurse at Holy Family Manor. She enjoyed reading, collecting teddy bears and listening to Elvis. Marie had a big, generous heart and always had a gift ready for her family and friends when special occasions arose.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, George Check; daughter, Cynthia Check and granddaughter, Amber Koach (Justin). Marie was preceded in death by her son, Mathew H. Check; brothers, Lewis Stauffer, William Stauffer, Andrew Stauffer and Harold Dresher and sister, Eleanor Weierbach.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 3-5 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
