Marie E. Trimble

Marie Curry Trimble, 96 formerly of Fountain Hill passed away peacefully Tuesday May 27, 2014 in the home of her daughter, Rosemary Trimble Bender. She was the widow of Russell A. Trimble who predeceased her in 2010 after 64 years of marriage. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Eva A. (Ueberroth) Curry. A graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and Bethlehem Business College, Marie began working at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation prior to serving her country as a sergeant in the Marine Corps during WWII. In addition to being a homemaker, Marie also was employed by the Bethlehem Area School District. She was a member of St. Ursulas Catholic Church, The Womens Guild, The Golden Hillers, Holy Ghost Seniors and Midway Manor.

Survivors: In addition to her daughter Rosemary of Center Valley are sons, Jim, and wife, Karen; Jack, and wife Molly both of Bethlehem, sister Rosemary Halpin and her husband Donald of Hellertown and sister-in-law, Joan Curry of Yardley, PA. She is also survived by three grandsons, Bryan and Michael Trimble, Paul Bender, and a great granddaughter, Michaela Rose Trimble. The oldest of five, Marie was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy Lindenmuth and Frances Williams and brother, John Curry. She will also be lovingly missed by her devoted caretaker, Aurora Valverde.

Services: A viewing will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 9-10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. all in St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015. Burial with Military Honors will be at Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
