Marilyn Petraitis

Marilyn Jean "Dancin' Queen" Petraitis, 65, of Allentown, passed on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Born on January 4, 1959, in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Martin S. and Ann (Skrip) Petraitis.

Marilyn enjoyed music and also had the ability to draw. As a child, she and her family took many summer road trips. In more recent years, she created an extensive video library to share with friends and family. 'MJDQ' had a generous heart and always tried to help others. Father, Martin stayed by her side until his passing in 2015. Marilyn chose to be independent (with home care) thereafter. Physically disabled people are often at the mercy of the able-bodied and are forced to accept whatever level of care they receive.

Marilyn is survived by her two sisters, Diane H. Cope, of Bernville and Brenda A. Kocer, of Allentown; two nieces, Jenn Jo Todisco, wife of Jeff Staples, of Bernville and Lynn Claire Pysher, of Bethlehem; cousin, Lenny Petraitis and his wife, Andrea and several other cousins and close friend, David Herbold.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St., Bethlehem, PA 18017. For those attending we will meet at the stop sign just after the entrance of the cemetery.
