Mario James Gentile

Mario James Gentile, 40, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 4, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. He was born on September 9, 1980. He grew up in Hillside, New Jersey. In 1994 he moved with his family to Nazareth, Pennsylvania and graduated from Nazareth High School in 1998. Mario began his career as a union carpenter when he went to work for Donnelly Construction in 2001. He spent the next 18 years working his way up through the company advancing to Job-site superintendent, Authorized OSHA outreach trainer, Job-site safety manager and finally Project manager. Mario moved to Tampa in 2019 with his wife and continued his career as senior project manager at A.D. Morgan Corporation.

Mario was academically accomplished receiving his Bachelors degree in Business Administration and an MBA with concentration in Project Management from DeSales University.

Mario was survived by his wife of 8 years Talia Steffensen; parents Anthony and Leona (Campitelli) Gentile; brothers Dominick Gentile, Anthony Jr. (Jennifer) Gentile, Christopher Sr. (Maria) Gentile and Louis (Judith) Gentile, Sister Suzanne (David) Cole; nieces, Jessica, Rachel, and Angela; nephews, Matthew and Christopher Jr. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone. He left behind two beloved dogs Angelina and Vito and was predeceased by his dog Enzo.

Mario was a sports fan. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees. He also had a love for music and going to concerts with his family and friends. He loved spending time with his wife and traveling together. They had planned to see all 50 states. He was a kind, thoughtful & loving human being and always went out of his way to help everyone in need. He was very ambitious and took special pride in his work. His life was cut short but his memory will live on in our thoughts and hearts forever.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 19, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
