Marjorie Ann Horak

August 26, 1960 — December 19, 2008

Marjorie, 48, of Orefield, formerly of Watchung, NJ, passed on to be with the Lord, His angels and saints, on Friday, December 19, 2008. Margie was the daughter of Louise and Raymond Horak, her father having passed in 1991. Margie was a regular volunteer at Day Break, a program of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches, serving people with mental health challenges. Margie was also a member and volunteer of the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion, Post 576. Margie loved singing with her mother, Louise, in the choir of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Emmaus. Margie also enjoyed singing and performing with her mother, as an honorary member, with the Krazy Kids, a senior citizen group which sings and entertains in the local community. Margie was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Allentown.

Margie will be lovingly remembered by her mother Louise, her sister, Mary Lou Gorzelic; her niece, Amber Finn, and brother in law and nephew, Michael Patrick and Michael James Gorzelic, all of Orefield. Margie will also be remembered by extended family in Orefield, PA, Tennessee, New York, New Jersey, and Oregon, and by many close friends who new and loved her.

There will be two services held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM followed by a procession and burial in Hollywood Cemetery in Union, NJ. There will also be a Celebration of Life Service at Connell Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 10: 30 AM followed by a luncheon. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. All are welcome to attend services on the 23rd and 24th .
