Martha F. Drust

Martha F. Drust, 91, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice. Born in Bronx, New York she was the daughter of the late Ernestine (Taylor) and Martin Degenhardt. She was married to the late John Drust.

Martha received her GED in 1987 from Liberty High School. She worked as a pharmacy tech at Sun Ray Pharmacy on Stefko Blvd. and Drug Service on Schoenersville Rd. Later she worked for Linden Street Tailor Shop where she became a tailor learning the trade from Joe Salvatore, Sr.

Martha was a very active woman. She volunteered her time at Lehigh Valley Active Life in Allentown as a dance hostess. She also participated in their Tai Chi fitness classes. Martha was a member of the Silver Sneakers Fitness Group and the Couture Sewing Group. She was also involved with Marriage Encounter and had a very warm heart for Animals in Distress.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Michael Drust and wife, Kelly, daughters, Krisann Albanese and fianc, John Lustig, Dawn Fridirici and husband, David, and Linda (Drust)Castellani wife of Martin, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and a dear companion, Eugene Parks. She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Degenhardt and sister, Joan Plumb.
