Martha L. Bickert Cassano

Martha L. Cassano, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was the daughter the late Helen (Hearn) and Frank Koch. She was the wife of the late Clarence N. Bickert and the late Anthony Cassano. She was the companion of Robert Romig.

Martha worked as a nurses aide for both Allentown State Hospital and Muhlenberg Hospital. She was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Martha was an avid baker and enjoyed caring for her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William Bickert and his wife Diane, Sandra Castellucci and her husband Joseph and Thomas Cassano and his wife, Carmen; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her sisters, Vivian Schuyler and Marilyn Williams.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
