Martin F. Stockman, Jr. of Bethlehem left this life on August 18. He was born on July 12,1932, the son of the late Martin and Augustina Stockman. As a young man, Martin attended Trinity School in New York City and Lehigh University. After stints as a gold miner in Alaska and a chemical engineer, Martin settled down in the Lehigh Valley with Eleanore, his beloved wife of sixty-three years. He spent the remainder of his working life as a real estate broker and sales manager for Deutsch Homes and Titan Homes where he helped develop the custom-built home industry in the Lehigh Valley.

In addition to his wife Eleanore, Martin is survived by his children, Sandra and husband Eugene Gannon of Brooklyn, NY; Martin F. Stockman III and his wife Kathleen of Bethlehem Township; Barbara and her husband, Olivier DeSaintMartin of Cherry Hill, NJ; and Michael Stockman and his partner Patricia Farrell, of Tobyhanna, PA, as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Doris Pooley of Swansea, SC.

Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday August 22, 2015 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018.The family will receive visitors from 10:30-11am Saturday and Friday evening from 6-8pm at the Connell Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Raebold Wing of Kirkland Village in Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Trinity School Fund at Trinity School NYC - 139 West 91st Street New York, NY 10024-1326 or The American Heart Association's local branch at 968 Postal Rd., Allentown, Pa. 18109.
