Martin Joseph Rzucidlo

Martin Joseph Rzucidlo, of Bethlehem, PA passed away peacefully on April 20, 2023.

Born in Mayfield, PA. to Louis and Blanche (Andrews) Rzucidlo on January 20, 1930.

He graduated from Liberty High School and attended Lafayette College, where he earned an Associates Degree in Drafting/Engineering.

He was employed for 29 yrs at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the Engineering Department.

He was blessed with a 68 year marriage to his loving wife, Mary (Stofanak) and 5 children: Marielle Rzucidlo, Martin Joseph Rucidlo and Lisa Rucidlo (Imfeld), Mark Rzucidlo and Susan Rzucidlo (Ferguson), Michelle Rzucidlo, Matthew Rzucidlo and Deborah Rzucidlo (ONeil). Grandchildren: Amanda Rzucidlo and David Takitaki, Natalie Rzucidlo, Caroline Rzucidlo, Jack Rzucidlo, Meg Rzucidlo, Brooke Steele (Rucidlo) and Josh Steele. Great grandchildren, Daphne Steele, Selene Steele. He is survived by his sister Louise Fisher of Allentown and brother-in-law Robert Martinek.

Martin (Marty) and Mary attended St. Annas Catholic Church together faithfully since 1963. They were known as the (7) Ms.

Marty was a very hard worker. He was very handy: He converted the heating system to make the house one of the first all-electric houses in the area, remodeled the basement, added an addition to the back of the house and built a garage in the backyard. Marty was an avid golfer and member of the Bethlehem Steel Club starting in 1960. Along with his collection of golf trophies, he has, to his credit, a Hole-In-One on hole #4 at the Steel Club.

His intelligent, playful humor and endless energy will deeply be missed by friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Louis Rucidlo and sister MaryAnn Martinek.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 10:00am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 East Washington Avenue, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Martys name, to St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 East Washington Avenue, Bethlehem.

Arrangements are under the care of the Connell Funeral Home, Inc.
