Mary A. Burian

Mary A. Burian, 86, of Bethlehem, PA passed away peacefully Sunday, December 13, 2015, after a long illness. She was the wife of Jak K. Burian for almost 63 years. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lena (Terlizzi) Filaseta.

After graduating from Liberty High School, she worked as a legal secretary. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to so many. She was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading and most of all she enjoyed being with her family.

In addition to her husband, Jack, she is survived by five children: Carol Hagenbuch and her husband Bruce of Bethlehem, Ronald and his partner Linda of Quakertown, David and his wife Phyllis of Bethlehem, Daniel and his wife Karen of Ashland, Oregon and Kevin and his wife Klaudia of Lake in the Hills, IL; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, sisters-in-law Elaine Filaseta of Linthicum Heights, MD, Jean Burian of Allentown and nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Pat, Rocco, Bartholomew and Michael and a sister, Angie Homa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am ON Saturday, December 19th, in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, 18018, where the family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude place, Memphis, TN 38105.
