Mary A. Chuk

Mary A. Chuk,95, of Bethlehem died July 9, 2015 at Holy Family Manor. Born February 12, 1920 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Julia (Lebar) and Charles Nemsits. She was the wife of the late William J. Chuk, Sr., with whom she celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Mary worked as a beautician for 30 years, owning her own shop for 16 years. She was a member at SS. Simon and Jude Church in Bethlehem, where she volunteered for many years. She loved making crafts, baking kiffles and nut rolls, and playing the organ. Mary also enjoyed working in her garden.

Mary is survived by her sons, William J. Chuk, Jr. and wife Marilyn, of Allentown, and Joseph R. Chuk and wife Carole, of Coplay; daughter, Sister Marian Bernadette IHM of Hellertown; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Mozeko and Gizella Jaynes.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St, Bethlehem, PA 18018, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Manor or St. Theresas School, 1408 Easton Rd, Hellertown, PA 18055.
