Mary A. Kovacs, 89, of Bethlehem died Saturday March 8, 2008 at the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Lukes in Bethlehem. She was born on October 28, 1918 in Bethlehem daughter of the late Imre and Theresa Luybli Kovacs Takacs.

Mary was a waitress and cook at the Hellertown American Legion for 20 years. She was a member of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Mary was very devoted to her family and enjoyed doing for others. She was very active and loved to cook , bake and work in the garden.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Goldie C. Motil wife of Joseph of Bethlehem , niece, Carol Sellman wife of Robert of New Jersey, and grand nieces Michelle Cox wife of Lee-Volker, and Jennifer Sellman.

She was predeceased by a brother James Kovacs, and a sister- Grace Kovacs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1PM Wednesday March 12, 2008 at St. John Capistrano Church 912 E. 4th St. Bethlehem. Calling hours are private. Burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
