Mary A. Kulanko

Mary A. Yurish Kulanko, 88, of Fountain Hill, PA., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday, July 31, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born June 26, 1920 in Northampton she was the daughter of the late Amelia Fedrick and Joseph Yurish. She was married to the late George Kulanko.

Mary worked for Sarcos Manufacturing Company as a machine operator for 38 years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Mary was also a member of the Golden Hillers Senior Citizens Group at St. Ursula's Catholic Church, Fountain Hill.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gloria, wife of Earl Christman of Bethlehem, son, George J. Kulanko and his wife Joan of Bethlehem, sisters, Cecelia Soltis of Northampton and Caroline Papp of Bethlehem. She is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Joseph, Walter, Henry and John Yurish.

Services: Panachida will be held Monday August 4, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA. 18018 followed by an Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at Ss.Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 1140 Johnston Drive Bethlehem, PA 18017. Visitation will be Monday, from 8:15-9:15 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
