Mary Ann C. Doherty

Mary Ann C. Doherty, 95 of Bethlehem passed away on Sunday May 10, 2015 at County Meadows in Bethlehem. She was born on February 6, 1920 in New York City, daughter of the late John and Ellen (McDonnell) Bowe. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Doherty. Mary Ann was an accountant for Bell Laboratories in New York. She also worked in the jewelry dept. for Two Guys Dept. Store in Bethlehem, retiring in 1980. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and member of the Guild, Bridge Club and Fellowship Club.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, John T. Doherty of Great Meadows, NJ, and Francis A. Doherty of West Chester, Pa., daughters, Marie D. Hunsicker of Malvern, Pa., Elizabeth J. Timmins of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, and Ellen R. Doherty of Bethlehem, and 9 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers John Bowe, and Francis Bowe, and sister, Catherine Bowe.

A viewing will be held from 9-11am on Saturday May 16, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 3219 Santee Rd Bethlehem, Pa. 18020 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
