Mary Barbarics

Mary Barbarics, 92, of Wind Gap, died Friday May 8, 2009 at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. Born in Bethlehem on March 19, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Theresa Gorsan Moretz. She was the wife of the late Vincent Barbarics who died in 1983.

Mary worked for Trio Togs Blouse Inc. for 26 years, retiring in 1982, and was a member of the ILGWU. She was a member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church and of the Windish Lutheran Sick and Benefit Society.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, William of Macungie, and Edward of Wind Gap, daughter, Helen Hancock of Chevy Chase, MD, brother, Ernest Moretz of Saylorsburg, grandchildren, Paul, William, James and Lisa Barbarics, Mary and Anne Hancock, great grandsons, Blake and Jackson Barbarics. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Charles, Stephen, Raymond, and Joseph.
