Mary Beth Burkhardt

Mary Beth Fistner Burkhardt, 57, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and

sister, died peacefully in her home on Saturday May 27, 2006.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of Mary E. Fistner and the late

William "Juby" Fistner.

Mary Beth was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, class of 1966.

She supported the Becahi Golden Hawks Marching Band Parents from 1987

through 1990.

Mary worked for the Lehigh Valley Post Office for over 25 years, ending

her career in the engineering Department.

Mary is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Burkhardt, Sr.; son, Thomas J.

Burkhardt, Jr. husband of Nancy of Bethlehem; daughter, Melanie Burkhardt,

wife of Scott Hawkins of California; her mother Mary; three sisters,

Charlene, Jane, and Stephanie and their families; five brothers, Bill,

Thomas, David, Allen, and Michael Fistner and their families; as well as

four grandchildren, Jared, Alicia, Justin, and Jeremy Burkhardt.

In addition to her father, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Patricia

Barr and her brother John Fistner.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St.

Bethlehem on Tuesday May 30, 2006 from 7-9PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 31, 2006 at

10:30AM in SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem

Interment will be in holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer

Society Lehigh Valley Unit 2121 City Line Rd Bethlehem, PA 18017.
