Mary C. Christ

Mary C.Buttillo Christ, 94 , of Bethlehem, died on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. Mary was born in Graphite, NY and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Louise Compano Buttillo and the widow of the late August J. Christ who died in February 1997.

Mary was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Bath. Mary was a floor lady for the former Synthetic Thread Co. in Bethlehem retiring in 1979.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Dolores D. Knauss and husband Theodore of East Allen Township with whom she resided and Mary Ann Ofchus and husband Thomas of Bethlehem Township, three grandchildren Thomas Ofchus, Denise Force and Scott M. Knauss and six great grandchildren.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, husband, three brothers John, Jerry and Anthony Buttillo and two sisters Madaline "Mami" Cervellini and Elvira "Rita" Buttillo.

Friends may call at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 210 East Northampton St., Bath, PA 18014 Friday, January 23, 2009.
