Mary C. Labar

Mary C. Schofhauser LaBar, 94, formerly of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Lutheran Home in Topton, PA.

Born May 31, 1913 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Weninger Schofhauser. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas LaBar on July 12, 1998.

Mary worked as a machine operator for various silk mills in Bethlehem. She was a lifelong member of St. John Capistrano Church in Bethlehem. Mary was an avid bingo player. She also enjoyed knitting and traveling. She was a member of the Senior Citizen Clubs of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and Our Lady Help of Christians.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Bernice wife of Walter Kucsan of Macungie, PA, grandchildren; Kathryn Kucsan of Colorado, Gary Kucsan and wife Allison of Fogelsville, Thomas Kucsan and wife Lisa of Salisbury Township. She will also be remembered by three great grandchildren; Samuel, Maxwell, and Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her brother Frank Schofhauser.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held Monday January 28, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem from 10-11 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alumni Association of St. Luke's School of Nursing P.O. Box 1857 Bethlehem, PA 18016-1857.
