Mary D. Tucker, 64, of Allentown, passed away peacefully in her home on July 23, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1954, in Nowy Targ, Poland, the daughter of the late John Dombrowski and Anna (Krzystyniak) Dombrowski. Mary was the devoted wife of the late Brian Tucker who predeceased her on May 2, 2010.
She was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where she received her degree in Health Policy and Administration. Mary devoted her life to caring for others. She was employed as a nursing home administrator for Genesis Healthcare for over 30 years. She was most recently the administrator of Brakeley Park Care Center in Phillipsburg, NJ, and the Regional Executive Director of the Phillipsburg cluster for Genesis. She was an active member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church and a member of the Women of Grace group and retreat team at the parish. Mary will be remembered for her love of the sun and the beach, her compassion, grace, and devotion to serving others, but above all, for her immense love and dedication to God and her family.
Mary will be lovingly remembered and terribly missed by her children, Andre, Adam, Annmarie, and Alex; her grandchildren, Charlie and Molly; her brother, Walter Dombrowski and sister, Janina Ryt; her brother-in-law, and all of her nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Dabrowski, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 and again on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 8:45-9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Rd. Doylestown, PA 18901.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Adam Tucker C/F Alex Tucker” to be applied towards a college fund for Marys son, Alex. Checks may be mailed to Connell Funeral Home.
