Mary E. Crosson

Mary Crosson, 93, of Bethlehem, passed away on November 9, 2017. She was born in Middle Village, Queens NY, the daughter of the late Hannah (Harkin) and Charles McClafferty. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph T. Crosson.

Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Bethlehem, where she was a member of the Prime Time Club. Mary worked for AT&T as a telephone operator for 49 years and later at Doctors Hospital in NY, Lehigh Valley Hospital and St. Lukes VNA. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. Mary enjoyed crocheting and reading a good book. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Charles, William and James McClafferty and a sister, Julia Keeney. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Joseph P. Crosson and his wife Valerie; James K. Crosson and his wife, Jo Ann; daughter in law, Anita Crosson, wife of Marys deceased son, John C. Crosson; grandchildren, James, Jay, Thomas, Sean, Joseph, Steven and Patrick and 10 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 9-10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 1st St. Bethlehem, PA 18020. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Long Island National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church of Bethlehem or St. Lukes Hospice C/O Development, 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
