Mary E. Csicsek

Mary E. (Lawrence) Csicsek, 96, of Bethlehem passed on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in her home in her son's arms. Born November 13, 1915 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Biro) Lawrence. She was married to Charles "Chickie" M. Csicisek who passed away on August 14, 1990.

Mary worked for Laros Printery for 11 years and for the Bethlehem Steel during World War II. She also worked for Western Electric for 25 years retiring in 1976. She was a member at St. John Capistrano and currently SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Bethlehem where she was a member of its Senior Citizens group. She was involved with various activities with the church but mainly baking for the church. Mary was also a member of the Telecom Pioneers.

Mary is survived by her son, Charles J. Csicsek, with whom she resided, grandchildren, Charlotte wife of Gary Helm of Bath, Charles J. Csicsek, Jr. of Forks Township, Stephen C. Csicsek of Roseto, Charles J. Csicsek, Jr. of Bethlehem and Shawn C. Csicsek of Hellerton. She will also be remembered by her great grandchildren, Gary and Jonathan Helm, Tiffany, John, Ashlee and Ian Csicsek.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, John and Frank Lawrence and sisters, Anna Kovacs and Kathern Phillippi.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-9 PM and again on Saturday, October 13, 2012 9-10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Mary's name to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place Bethlehem, PA 18017.
