Mary Emilia Pagats, 89, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Coplay, PA, the daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Gutman) Sommer. She was the loving wife of Joseph Pagats. They were married for 64 years.

Mary dedicated her life to her family. She was a member of Town and Country Bowlerettes, YWCA Tuesday Club and Friendship Club. She enjoyed gardening and raising her own plants especially roses and azaleas. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Patricia, wife of Ronald Musselman; grandchildren, Lindsay Musselman, Mary E. wife of Carlos Genao, Joseph Filaseta and wife, Devin, Susan, wife of Aaron Pearl; great-grandchildren, Michael Genao, Diana Genao, Carly Pearl and Joseph Pearl; her sisters, Elsie Sukanik and Geraldine Steirer; and brother, Richard Sommers. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Filaseta; sisters, Ann Fenicle and Rose Holencik; and brothers, Herman and John Sommer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Connell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
