Mary E. Ridgick

Mary E. Ridgick, 82, of Bethlehem died Friday January 26, 2007. Born on July 3, 1924, in Bethlehem; she was the daughter of the late Martin and Ellen Enright Dougherty. She was the wife of the late Thomas Ridgick, who died in 1993.

Mary worked as a switchboard operator, employed by Lehigh University for 12 years and St. Luke?s Hospital for 9 and a half years. She retired in the late 1980?s. She was a devout catholic and a life long member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She was also an avid traveler including three trips to Ireland.

She will be lovingly remembered by: son, Robert and his wife Rebecca; daughters, Mary Ellen A. Heil and her companion Bob Donnelly, and Kathleen Strunk and her husband David, all of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Mary Ann, Thomas, Terry and, Corey; 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: son, Thomas J. Ridgick and, sisters, Nancy Pollum and Rose Marie DeAngelis.

Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St; Bethlehem where calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 30th from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and will be followed by a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. Fourth St; Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Holy Infancy Catholic Church.
