Mary Ellen Mack

Mary Ellen Mack, 83, of Buttzville, NJ, died November, 12, 2019, at Sacred Heart Senior Living. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth Mack with whom she shared 27 years of marriage.

Born in Manhattan, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Delia (Haddigan) Clarke.

Mary Ellen worked as a librarian for over 20 years for the Warren County Library in NJ. She was a bookkeeper for Monteath Moulding, and also worked with the Bronx Zoo in New York City. After retiring, she went back to the library and volunteered her time. Mary Ellen volunteered with the American Cancer Society and was involved with her parish, St. Theresas Catholic Church in Hellertown, PA. The residents and staff at Sacred Heart found her sweet, and enjoyed her witty Bronx humor. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Mary Ellen is survived by her three daughters: Kathy Mack of Easton, PA; Judy Smetzer and her husband, Alan of Pennsburg, PA; and Terry Saracino and her partner, Dana Titez, of Hardyston, NJ; her nephew, Richard Auer of Oklahoma; and daughter- in- law, Pamela Mack of Florida; grandchildren: Misty, Adria, Jenny, Danny, Aubrey, Heather, Kenneth, and Holly; great-grandchildren: 17. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Auer and a son, Kenneth Mack Jr.

Services are private.
