Mary Grace Hinkle

July 4, 1924 — June 26, 2021

Mary Grace Hinkle, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021.

Born on the 4th of July 1924, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Powell) Jordan.

A graduate of Liberty High Schools Class of 1942, Mary Grace entered the workforce and retired from Carpenters Welfare Fund as an Administrative Secretary.

Outside of being an avid Philadelphia sports fan, Mary Grace enjoyed many hobbies including reading, knitting, collecting stamps and coins, playing bridge, serving as a polling judge for elections, volunteering with the Historic Sun Inn, and most importantly enjoyed spending time with family as our proud matriarch.

Mary Grace was a member of the 55+ Club at St. Annes Catholic Churchwhere she worshiped as a parishioner since 1949and was also a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, the late Delbert K. Hinkle; son Delbert J. Hinkle, grandson Arthur J. Seitz III “AJ”, and two brothers Francis and John Jordan.

She will be fondly remembered by her two daughters Dianne Schoch of Seattle and Sharon Seitz of Bethlehem; one daughter-in-law Kathryn Hinkle of Harleysville; six grandchildren Sharon Brady, Thomas Salabsky, Mark, Adam, and Brian Hinkle, Lt Col Jason Seitz, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and her long-term companion Anthony Armellino.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 6:00-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Avenue, Bethlehem, on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 10:00am.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Annes St. Vincent de Paul Society, 450 Washington Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
